SHERMAN, Texas – Texoma FC are proud to announce local business leader and Texas native, Steven De Luna as the team’s first-ever General Manager.
Steven De Luna is a lifelong competitor and community-focused leader whose passion for soccer has shaped much of his journey. Raised in Plano, he grew up playing soccer where he learned the values of teamwork, discipline, and competition. His love for the game continued during his service in the United States Navy, where he coached championship-winning high school teams on military bases in Japan. After returning home, he continued mentoring athletes at Melissa High School, teaching world history and coaching soccer and volleyball. Today, he brings a blend of sports experience, business leadership, and community engagement to his role as General Manager of Texoma FC.
“I’m excited to join Texoma FC because this club has the passion, the people, and the drive to do something special in our community. There’s real potential here, and I’m fired up to help create an environment that brings fans, families, and players together,” said De Luna.
De Luna’s professional life blends creativity, service, and a talent for building memorable experiences, whether producing electric game-day entertainment, elevating a club’s brand, or engaging local communities and sponsors. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland and an MBA from Grand Canyon University. Above all, De Luna values his life at home, where he is a supportive husband to his wife Eva, and a proud father to his daughter Heather and his son Eric. His commitment to family and community continues to shape his approach to leadership and service.
“We’re excited to welcome Steven De Luna into a leadership role at Texoma FC,” said President Ben Watson. “Steven is an exceptional leader with a genuine heart for bringing people together and strengthening our community. We look forward to the new heights Texoma FC will reach under his leadership.”
“As we move forward, I’m eager to build on the club’s foundation and make Texoma FC a true centerpiece of the region,” said De Luna. “I want to strengthen our connections, highlight local pride, and deliver matchday moments that bring people back week after week.”
Texoma FC will kick off in USL League Two in 2026!
