Just days ago, Texoma FC made international news with the publishing of an article on BBC Sport. Paul Grunill (BBC Sport England), had the opportunity to catch up with former Luton Town Head of Coaching, Adrian Forbes, to discuss his new dual role as both Sporting Director and Head Coach for Texoma FC.
The club is set to kick off in the USL League One starting March of 2025 and there is still a lot of work to be done.
BBC Sport quotes the new manager, “I’m now building the squad to actually coach the squad as well, something you’d never see in the UK”, as he explains the inviting challenge at a brand new club in the United States.
Adrian Forbes left English Premier League side, Luton Town FC, after having spent five years at the club. The article went on to quote Adrian after being asked why he was so intrigued with the idea of the move to the US: “This is too good an opportunity to turn down.”
Since having joined Texoma FC only months ago, the inaugural Sporting Director and Head Coach has already bolstered his coaching staff with several key hires and begun scouting across the globe for his first player signings.
